A hook is a small object with a long life. It is the first thing a renovator buys and the last thing a hotel replaces, and it is one of the categories Moradabad casts best — solid brass, by the hundred thousand, in every form from a plain coat hook to a cast leaf or animal head. Hooks and hardware are 177 SKUs in our working catalog, and one of the deepest custom categories we run.
Every hook we ship is cast in solid brass — sand-cast for simple, heavy forms and lost-wax cast for figurative and fine-detail designs — then fettled, hand-finished, and either polished, patinated, or plated. Nothing is zinc under a brass skin. The difference shows at the tip of the hook after a year of coats.

Polished and lacquered brass for retail programs that need to look the same on the shelf for a year. Satin for a quieter look. Antique brass and aged bronze — genuine chemical patinas, hand-rubbed back on the high points, not a sprayed tint. Oil-rubbed and blackened for the darker end of the market. Nickel and chrome plating over solid brass where the range calls for it.
And unlacquered — the living finish that darkens with use and can always be brought back with a cloth. It has been the fastest-growing finish in North American hardware for three years running, and it is the finish Moradabad has always made.

Are your brass hooks solid brass or plated?
Solid cast brass. Most inexpensive "brass" hooks are zinc alloy with a thin brass plate that wears through at the tip within a year; ours are cast in brass, so the finish is the metal itself. Where a buyer wants a nickel or chrome look we plate over solid brass, not over zinc.
How much weight can a brass hook hold?
It depends on the design section and the fixing more than on the metal — a solid brass coat hook fixed with the supplied screws into a stud or a proper wall anchor will carry a heavy winter coat and bag without concern. For rated products we prototype to your target load and can arrange third-party load testing before production.
What finishes are available on brass hooks?
Polished and lacquered, satin, unlacquered (living finish), antique brass, aged bronze, oil-rubbed or blackened, and nickel or chrome plating. Finish samples ship with the counter-sample so you approve the exact tone.
Can you make our own hook design?
Yes — that is most of the category. From a sketch, CAD, or a reference sample we produce a counter-sample in about 10 working days, tool it, and run production under your brand. Lost-wax casting handles figurative and fine-detail designs; sand casting suits simpler, heavier forms.
What is the minimum order for wholesale brass hooks?
