Privacy Policy

The short version

We use Google Analytics for basic visitor stats (pages visited, country, device). We don't run advertising trackers. We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles. When you submit a form on this site, the information you provide is read by our team and used to respond to your inquiry. That's it.

Who we are

Hands & Craft is a manufacturing workshop based in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Our website is handsandcrafts.com. Our contact email is info@handsandcrafts.com.

What data we collect

When you submit the Request Access form: your name, company name, email address, role, what you source, typical order size, region, website URL, and any message you include. All fields except name, company, and email are optional.

When you use the API programmatically: the same fields above, plus the IP address of the requesting server (logged for rate-limiting purposes only).

When you browse the site without submitting a form: nothing. We do not use cookies, analytics scripts, pixel trackers, or third-party scripts that collect data. The only external resources loaded are Google Fonts (which Google serves via CDN — Google's font serving privacy policy applies to those requests).

How we use your data

Form submissions are used to:

• Respond to your inquiry within two hours during Indian working hours
• Send you a curated linesheet or compliance documents if requested
• Follow up on sample requests, quotes, or meeting bookings you initiated

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than responding to the specific inquiry you made.

Where your data is stored

Form submissions are stored as log files on our web server (hosted by Hostinger, data center in Europe). Notifications are sent to our team via email and WhatsApp (using CallMeBot as a relay service). No data is stored in a third-party CRM, marketing platform, or analytics tool.

Who sees your data

Only our team — the people who respond to buyer inquiries. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with any third party. Ever.

Data retention

We keep form submission logs for as long as the buyer relationship is active or until you ask us to delete them. If you want your data removed, email info@handsandcrafts.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we will confirm deletion within 48 hours.

Cookies

We use localStorage (a browser-side storage mechanism) to remember whether you have been granted trade access, so the catalog gate stays open on your next visit. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our server.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages visitors find useful. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_LTNR9XJ4QP) and collects: pages visited, approximate geographic location (country/region level, derived from IP), device type, browser, and referring website. We have enabled IP anonymization, so your full IP address is not stored by Google. We do not use Google Analytics Advertising features, we do not enable demographic or interest reports, and we do not share the data with any third parties for advertising purposes.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most browsers' privacy modes (Incognito, Private Browsing) and tracker-blocking extensions (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger) also block Google Analytics entirely.

You can clear all site data at any time via your browser's developer tools (localStorage.clear() and clearing cookies for this domain).

Third-party services

Google Fonts: we load typefaces (Cormorant Garamond, Inter, JetBrains Mono) from Google's CDN. Google's font serving does not set cookies, but the request itself transmits your IP address to Google's servers. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

CallMeBot: when you submit a form, a notification is sent to our team via CallMeBot's WhatsApp relay. CallMeBot receives the text of the notification (which includes your name, company, and email) but does not store it or use it for any purpose beyond delivery. See CallMeBot privacy policy.

Hostinger: our web hosting provider. Hostinger may log standard HTTP access data (IP addresses, request paths, user agents) as part of normal server operation. See Hostinger privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics 4 (see Cookies section above for details). We do not use Facebook Pixel, HubSpot tracking, Hotjar, Clarity, or any other tracking or marketing attribution service.

Your rights (GDPR / EU)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Request a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email info@handsandcrafts.com with the subject "GDPR request" and describe what you need. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, if possible, notify affected parties directly. We do not expect to change this policy often because we do not collect much data.
