Christmas is the one category where the calendar matters more than the design. A beautiful ornament that lands in November is worthless; an ordinary one on the floor in October sells through. Hands & Craft has been making seasonal decor for retailers and brands in more than thirty countries, and the discipline we bring is timing — sampling in the first quarter, production through the summer, on the water by September.
The pieces themselves are what Moradabad does well in metal: brass and aluminium stars, snowflakes, bells, and animals stamped or cast and hand-finished; hammered and pierced baubles; enamelled and beaded forms; cast brass stocking holders and tree toppers; candle holders, advent pieces, tabletop trees, and wreath hangers. Wood, bone inlay, resin, and glass accents join where the design asks for them.
What buyers order
Assortments, boxed and ready.
Hanging ornaments: 6–12 cm stars, snowflakes, bells, initials, animals, and icons in polished, antiqued, enamelled, or glitter finishes — the volume line, usually twelve to twenty designs per program.
Boxed sets: three, six, or twelve pieces in a printed gift box under your brand — the strongest gifting SKU in the category.
Stocking holders and mantel pieces: weighted cast brass — a US staple that ships well and reorders every year.

When do we need to order Christmas ornaments to have them in store for the season?
Work backwards from your in-store date. Production is 45–70 days for 500–2,000 units and about 90 days for container programs; sea freight from Nhava Sheva is roughly 30–40 days to the US East Coast and 20–25 to Europe. For an October floor date, approve samples by April and place the order by the end of May. Most of our Christmas programs sample in January–March and ship in July–September.
What is the minimum order per ornament design?
200 units per SKU. Ornament programs are assortments — twelve designs at 200 each is a normal order — and mixed-SKU orders are standard. Boxed sets count as one SKU.
Can you make ornaments from our own designs?
Yes. From your artwork, sketch, or reference sample we produce a counter-sample in about 10 working days — cast, stamped, or hand-formed in brass or aluminium, then enamelled, plated, antiqued, or beaded — and run production under your brand with your packaging.
What materials do you use for Christmas ornaments?
Brass and aluminium are the core: stamped and cast stars, snowflakes, bells, animals, and initials; hammered and pierced baubles; wire and beaded forms. Around them sit wood (mango, sheesham), bone inlay, resin, glass accents, and the mixed-material pieces the region is known for. No lead or cadmium in any alloy or finish.
Do you make other holiday collections?
Yes — Diwali, Ramadan and Eid, Easter, Halloween, and Lunar New Year programs run on the same calendar logic. Seasonal is 152 SKUs in our working catalog and one of the largest custom categories we produce.
